Lufthansa has fundamentally changed its booking/reservation process by simplifying 3 aspects of the old process of booking.
a. The Shopping cart
The moment you choose your preferred flight, it will appear in the cart which is located in the top right corner of the booking website. You can see the overview of everything with respect to your flight in this cart. It will also display the total price for your flight.
a. Booking rental car with the flight
You now have the added option of choosing the rental car for transport options in case you don’t prefer taxis or other modes of transit at your destination. The price being charged for the rental car shall be displayed the entire time.
Alternatively, the rental car can be booked from Lufthansa’s website without booking a flight.
a. Seat reservation
Lufthansa has now given the option to customers for choosing their preferred seat on their flight. However, this option can be availed at a charge. A seating chart is also displayed for the customers for their ease. The seats having extra legroom’s are marked differently on the seating chart.
The passengers traveling by first or business class have the privilege of taking 2 carry-ons weighing a maximum of 32kgs each. For other classes, passengers are only allowed to carry one with a weight limit of 23 kgs. Apart from that, sports equipment are also allowed free-of-charge but they have to be registered 24 hrs before the flight. Also, Lufthansa allows for transporting pushchairs or baby baskets free of charge.
